The beloved Guardian tells us that each believer "should have confidence that his spiritual progress as a believer in the World Order of Bahá'u'lláh will largely depend upon the measure in which he proves, in deeds, his readiness to support materially the divine institutions of His Faith."
The Local Spiritual Assembly in Pacifica, California, have taken these words and utilized them as inspiration for the education and motivation for their community in giving to the Bahá'í Fund. With hearts filled with love, the Assembly sent each member of the Pacifica community a heartwarming letter as well as a gift, a book entitled "Stories about Bahá'í Funds," by Gloria Faizi. They decided to share a selection of these stories at each upcoming feast, and send a copy of each to the community members with their monthly calendar of events. In their own words, the Assembly shared the following sentiments, "Our goal, as stated in our letter to the community, is 100% participation. We pray that we may be permitted to achieve it..."
With this initiative, and with a spirit of loving encouragement, the goal of this Local Spiritual Assembly has become not only tangible, but achievable.
