"O people of the world! Build ye houses of worship throughout the lands in the name of Him Who is the Lord of all religions. Make them as perfect as is possible in the world of being…"

— Bahá’u’lláh (The Kitáb-i-Aqdas, p. 29)

templeWith the winter season fast approaching, Temple Restoration workers are gearing up for the cold weather by making plans for the continuation of the Temple work.

Plans for the winter include continuation of the precast staircase installation and cladding around the concrete foundation of the sacred edifice. With all nine doorways to the Mashriqu'l-Adhkár requiring reconstruction, due to aging which eventually lead to leakage, restoration workers are set to rebuild six of the doors--three of which have already been completed to date. These new thresholds will no longer contain water damage as they did in the past, with the doors being supported from above rather than from below. In addition to the new entranceways, new safety glass has also been installed, with the bronze surrounding it now refinished and glistening in a  beautiful honey brown hue.

Preparation of the final construction documents for the new Visitors Center, main entrance, and new heating and air conditioning for the House of Worship will also be composed during the upcoming winter months, offering the spring season an array of delightful new projects for the beloved Dawning Place of the Praise of God.
