"O people of the world! Build ye houses of worship throughout the lands in the name of Him Who is the Lord of all religions. Make them as perfect as is possible in the world of being…"

— Bahá’u’lláh (The Kitáb-i-Aqdas, p. 29)

smallpoolWith greenery bursting and fountains glistening once again, summer has come alive at the House of Worship and exciting renovations are underway!

During the upcoming warmer months, fascinating work will be done to make the Temple more radiant and comfortable than ever.

The Temple will be cleaned and scrubbed from top to bottom and a newly engineered water-resistant sealant will be applied to the dome to protect it from the harsh Mid-western weather.

Additionally, the installation of the new monumental stairs surrounding the Temple's auditorium, begun Fall 2005, continues at a steady pace.  These pristine stairs made of a quartz concrete mix are fortified with more durable materials and installed over the new waterproofing membrane to prevent leaking and water damage.

The concrete studio craftsmen are also currently creating the garden wall panels with beautiful ornamentation. These garden wall panels will cover the circumference of the Temple's terrace and provide a marvelous backdrop to each of the gardens surrounding the Temple.

All of these improvements, supported by the American Bahá'í community's dedication to the Kingdom Project, help to make visiting this sacred space a more enjoyable, radiant, and lasting experience.
