‘Abdu’l-Bahá visited the Sarah Farmer Inn at the Green Acre Bahá’í School in Eliot, Maine during His sojourn in America and provided us with the vision of the school’s future significance:

“In the future, God willing, Green Acre shall become a great center, the cause of the unity of the world of humanity, the cause of uniting hearts and binding together the East and the West. This is my hope.”

First Event at the Kelsey Center

In April of 2001 work was initiated to rebuild Bahá’í Hall—renamed Manny Reimer Hall—and to begin construction on a beautiful new classroom building complex called Kelsey Center. These changes were completed in September of 2002. The new complex includes:

An audiovisual control room with the capacity of connecting the various classrooms and breakout rooms with Manny Reimer Hall (ideal for providing optional listening rooms for those who are unable to attend the main session, such as parents of nursery-aged children)

A convenient refreshment area

Seven large and comfortable carpeted classrooms including areas for arts and crafts activities

A fenced-in play area for younger children

Ample and conveniently located restroom facilities

Conveniently connecting hallways between Manny Reimer Hall and classrooms, so essential during the snowy winter months

Ample porch areas around the building, perfect spots for fellowship and intimate chats in the midst of Green Acre’s beautiful peaceful surroundings
